YOOOO PHRYGIAN DOMINANT LET'S GOOOOO.
I really like the beat in this one, I can groove with it, and it does change with time pretty fluently, although I have some issues. I'd have to listen to it a couple more times but it feels like some instruments are too quiet or too loud at certain times (especially during the second segment).
The effects are on the spot, it's pretty well done, it feels like so far you had the longest streak of actually keeping up the quality, but I don't want to stress you about it or anything.

Well I also have no clue what DnB but this sounds about fine, it does sound a little low effort (on the synth side) and I also can barely hear the bass in the background (unless there is none, but I do feel like every other bar I hear something low frequency going down)

Is this the part where he kills you?

I think this could fit under blues or jazz if you asked me, or video game. The samples could fit, especially the piano, but I feel like the clarinet needs a little bit of a polish because It kind of doesn't fit to the piano. Not the clarinet on itself, it just has some frequencies I feel like that could be equalised. Otherwise it's pretty nice

Ya like jazz?
It sounds rather more experimental than jazz on it's own. I guess it also could fit where the name jazz came from. I like it quite a bit, it does end before it has the time to develop fully, but I still really like what you did with this one. Although yeah it does sound like the song has ended right before the bridge would lead to the rest of the song, Hope you do something longer with this one in the future, because if you do, mad respects

I've been thinking about this song for a while, and maybe i could do something out of it, like recording the sax with an real sax y'know? bcs experimental jazz is really close to prog, on which, is my fav genre of all time xd, anyways, ty for feedback :))

the effects on some of the instruments (especially the droplets and piano) are really off-mark with the bass which makes it kind of hard to listen to, I like the sax BUT MAN does it not feel well mixed, If you had more time to polish then yeah it'd be 4 stars because the sax infact is really nice. But as it stands -ehhhhh

Casper responds:

yeah, I wanted the bass in this song to be wacky and sort of funky but I overdid it & couldn't be bothered to fix it, same with the sax mix. This is probably going to be the song with the most (wasted) potential from this challenge, since it has a lot of good things going for it but lack of interest and time is it's downfall :p

sorry if I am responding to these reviews a bit late, after this song I kinda stopped replying to them so I'm catching up on them now lmao

this is fire, the transition was really nice and fluent and didn't stick out at all, you got a lot done in 2 hours I feel like.

Hey, this is pretty good. I like the melody on the piano, and how Quiet it all is, even with the more active drums. Also really nice chords in the latter part, I don't think there's much wrong, and also when ranking these I go more of what facial expression fits the best to what I feel like about the song, not by how many good and bad sides there are, because if I were doing it by the latter then yeah there's really much of good stuff and almost none bad

I really like the 16th shuffle at the start before it gets to the straight 50%. It's pretty solid overall, the droplets may be too loud but I've also never played geometry dash before, and since it's one of the tags I can see that you were trying to work around that. It's pretty solid overall
